Nordstrom opened its first Toronto location and flagship at the Eaton Centre in mid September, with 220,000 s.f. of retail space. Along with typical departments for cosmetics, boutique shops, jewelry, accessories, shoes, mens and womens fashion, it also has 3 bars / restaurants and a cafe. Simons Square One
La Maison Simons opened its first store in Ontario at the Square One Shopping Centre earlier in the spring. Ontarians can finally experience exciting and fun Simons stores along with the rest of Canada. Customers can now shop its fashion-forward and unique selections in person that cater to wide range of needs. Designed by figure3 and Lemay Michaud, fun design features include deconstructed loom with yarns can be experienced at the young girl's department twik. Get some sporty customization done to your heart's content with the NIKEiD program. Displays on retractable concealed panels reveal inspirations or newest offerings in this comfortable personal setting where NikeiD staff takes you through this one on one personal shopping experience. The friendly Canadian Nike online shopping is easily accessible where giant touch screens or iPads can be used to browse and order onsite. At the entry, an impressive backlit display with huge cantilevered acrylic ice sheets greets you and inspires the athletic core to get out there and conquer the elements
simons west edmonton mall - award winning retail design
Simons new store at the west edmonton mall, designed by figure3, is fun and engaging, resulting in a memorable experience that creates a new destination for fashion-focused shoppers. On the exterior, twisted metal fins cladding creates soft shimmer and organic texture. Inside the store, various departments provide their own unique experience and interaction including descending fitting rooms at the young women's area. Simons also commissioned architect Philip Beesley to create a permanent art installation, executed as an ethereal canopy that hovers above viewers. Simons wem has won the Retail Store of the Year award, department store, and fitting room design in Chain Store Age competition.
