Interface Toronto Showroom
Interface, carpet manufacturer and the leader in sustainability, has moved the Toronto Showroom into the QRC West, and is the first application for LEED V.4 project in Canada - green to the core as they are embracing the Mission Zero goal. The showroom design is part of the global look + feel where the use of materials is meant to be a backdrop to the floor which is the focus. The large spaces on the floor is not only for showcasing products but also to be used by clients and furniture vendors for mock-up and to view products in large scale. The showroom also functions as a flexible meeting and events space for the Architects +Designers community.
Being in a LEED Gold building, all the advanced environmental features are present - LED lighting with occupant sensors, raised floor with HVAC distribution, full height perimeter glazing with lightshelf to maximize daylight, and operable windows for fresh air. The building is also one of the most interesting architectural projects and innovative office tower in downtown Toronto. Go for a visit at the showroom and you will sure love the environment, design, and architecture - what a treat!
Great Gulf Design Studio
figure3 designed the Great Gulf Design Studio where owners enjoy a personalized experience where they are inspired by curated settings and can see physical finishes and samples to help visualize and design their own space. What a luxurious journey - where the space for your space matters!
haworth toronto showroom
The newly renovated Haworth Toronto Showroom features a mix of workplace solutions and sexy Haworth Collections with classic to modern design that fits in many settings outside of the office. There is a cleverly disguised meeting/ping-pong table, multi-purpose to the core. I personally love the rocking horse chair-the shetland. You have to try it, loads of fun to ride and versatile for various tasks! The boardroom features a table with proprietary technology "workware" that enables easy collaboration and information sharing. The boardroom, raised floor, and presentation rooms feature large environmental graphic backdrops featuring image and adapted graphic from my streetcar portrait series. Haworth Toronto Showroom is opened from 9 to 5, Monday to Friday.
downtown markham presentation centre
The presentation centre for Downtown Markham is designed by figure3 and features a swooping, nest-like structure that envelops the main entrance from exterior into an interior portal with immersive projection content. Inside the showroom, dark reflective glass panels divide casual, intimate lounges where clients can have a relaxed session while learning about the project with the salesperson. The main space features cafe settings and a large natural wood table with iPads where clients can explore on their own. In the high space above the lounges, images are projected to create dynamic messaging. Eventscape produced a really cool video showcasing the elements they engineered and constructed.
