Nordstrom Toronto Eaton Centre
Nordstrom opened its first Toronto location and flagship at the Eaton Centre in mid September, with 220,000 s.f. of retail space. Along with typical departments for cosmetics, boutique shops, jewelry, accessories, shoes, mens and womens fashion, it also has 3 bars / restaurants and a cafe. The lounges and personal shopping areas are little gems that offer unique experiences for shoppers. More details can be seen in the blogto and Toronto life articles.

Simons Square One
La Maison Simons opened its first store in Ontario at the Square One Shopping Centre earlier in the spring. Ontarians can finally experience exciting and fun Simons stores along with the rest of Canada. Customers can now shop its fashion-forward and unique selections in person that cater to wide range of needs. Designed by figure3 and Lemay Michaud, fun design features include deconstructed loom with yarns can be experienced at the young girl's department twik. Concord CityPlace - Quartz
Concord CityPlace - Quartz designed by figure3. The space is design forward and timelessly modern. Interior and exterior spaces transition seamlessly to maximize views, and surprising visual elements can be found around every corner. The lobby also features faceted connections by Eventscape.

Entertainment One at Queen Richmond Centre West
eOne is a major tenant at the QRC West, one of the recent landmarks of architectural design in Toronto. The event space just above the massive atrium, accessed with a catwalk, is such an energetic and exciting place to experience. Moveable walls with cutouts make the main space multi-functional as it can be divided or opened through as one space. The gorgeous outdoor patio gives grand views of hip queen west neighbourhood.
eOne's offices in the upper floors are connected by a central staircase surrounded by meeting rooms, coffee bars, lounge seating and pods where casual meetings and collaboration are natural and comfortably accommodated. The design of the office retains the edgy and fun spirit with buzz of action seen in the centre of the company.

HOLT RENFREW at Square One Shopping Centre
Holt Renfrew opened its Square One flagship in Square One Shopping Centre late July, bringing a large presence of 130,000 sq ft over three stories: P1 level (BOH), main retail floor and mezzanine.
Architectural design is by Janson Goldstein in NYC and the Lighting design by L’Observatoire. The majority of the design is all bespoke and custom designed for Holt Renfrew. Construction by Govan Brown.
Penguin Shop Toronto
A video to showcase the modular displays for flexible merchandising and shop configuration.
The Penguin Shop is designed by figure3. The task was to design an instagram-friendly retail space in a footprint of just 158sf. figure3 set to work creating a shop that fosters a sense of discovery, wonder and visual delight.
The little Penguin Shop captured the imagination as soon as the doors opened and it ignited media interest both nationally and internationally. Crucially, Penguin’s audience from the merely curious to the super-fan have flocked to the shop and shared their shopping excursions across social media.

ARIDO ROI initiative 2016 - SKETCH
This is a charity shoot as contribution towards ARIDO's ROI initiative 2016 for SKETCH.
ARIDO's initiative ROI : Renew-Originate-Implement aims to assist an organization or charity through the improvement of an interior environment where essential services and support are being provided to Ontarians.
SKETCH creates opportunities for young people (ages 16 to 29) living on the streets, homeless, or otherwise on the margins, to experience the transformative power of the arts. SKETCH helps them foster leadership and economic self-sufficiency through the arts to cultivate social and environmental change.
The goal of this ROI project is to improve and refresh SKETCH's admin hub.
The DMZ at Ryerson University
The DMZ at Ryerson University is the leading business incubator for technology startups in Canada, fuelling the success of emerging entrepreneurs. This creative and energetic reception area is designed by Pulsinelli design.
Newswire office interior
figure3 designed this newswire's office located at one of the top floors of WaterPark Place. The reception area features a copper screen that wraps as a floating ceiling into the divider screen between the board room and the reception desk. The design draws inspiration from the ticker tape which were used to carry digital messages prior to computers. Eventscape helped turn this vision into the impressively warm and organic element that envelops visitors as they enter the space. Being on such a high floor facing the lake grants breathtaking views inside the alluring board room where one is always inspired by our beautiful waterfront off in the distance. Custom designed environmental graphics were used to inspire and communicate the corporate value.
Scalar Toronto
Scalar office, designed by figure3, features a cool and sophisticated space with light penetration between spaces. In the workspace, flexible and varied settings cater to different work style needs and enable convenient collaboration points. The large cafe + servery features sliding doors that open up completely to transform into a large space for town hall gathering.
