Nike Office - Downtown T.O.

Nike_OfficeNike downtown office designed by Pulsinelli Design. Creative details are in the space, including soccer shoe spikes used as wall art that make up the portrait and quotation of the Nike Co-Founder Bill Bowerman at the reception wall. In the studio space, full size brick pattern was reproduced to make the famous "Just Do It" tagline and swoosh appear as floating halos on the antique brick wall. In the collaboration area, Nike poster collage make up a custom wallpaper to add an edge to the room. The space in this downtown loft truly makes for a fun and energetic work space for the sporty crowd and their clients.

Happy New Year

newsletter 2016 bodyAs a look back at the past year, here is a sampling of what I was up to. The year was filled with an interesting mix of captures for varied spaces from epic scale corporate towers to intimate retail and residential spaces. On the portrait side, a couple of fashion editorial environmental portrait projects provided opportunities to play with both space and figures. For fine art, I held a solo exhibition presenting the Day Dream series in the summer.

Best wishes for 2016 and may the year bring you success and joy abundant! Steve

MAISON BIRKS at Sherway Gardens

maison-birksBrand new Maison Birks designed by Ædifica featuring Chandelier by Lumenpulse. The bold and clever storefront plays with the diamond motif and incorporates a luxurious angled wood archway that make shoppers do a double-take as they approach. The expanse of circular clear storefront reveals various zones and vendor areas creating an open view compared to the traditionally concealed jewelry stores. Faceted and layered frit pattern on the glazing make the entire store look like a sparkly gem stone. Inside the archway, customers are greeted with the shimmering chandelier that hovers above the central display atop the custom mosaic patterned tiles. Throughout the store, displays and fixtures juxtapose wood against white and chrome details along with custom wallpaper and frames that convey the BIRKS heritage altogether creating a modernized environment that caters to the new generation.
