BMO celebrates 40 years at the First Canadian Place branch
The beloved First Canadian Place has been going through transformations in recent years and BMO Financial Group also went through extensive renovations to its branches and offices. The grand opening of the renewed main branch was on June 11, 2015 - the 40th anniversary of this location. BMO celebrated with welcome events and ribbon cutting for the official grand opening. Details can be found on the Canadian Interiors post and the Toronto Star article. You can see my branch photography here.
BMO first canadian place flagship
One of the most major renovations to BMO's flagship branch in Toronto transformed the bank into an open and modern environment for retail banking, making it buzz of the town in the financial district. The project was designed with close collaboration between figure3 and Kearns Mancini Architects along with the BMO Corporate Real Estate Team. Having worked on this project extensively myself, it is extra special for me to see the massive transformation and to photograph it indeed!

massimo dutti yorkdale
The posh Spanish-retailer Massimo Dutti opened their second Canadian flagship at Yorkdale Shopping Centre last fall. The double-storey atrium provides the opportunity to feature architectural façade in an interior environment. The store design features traditional paneling and columns architecturally and a warm rich wood with bronze interior which compliments their classic brand beautifully.
Visit the big brother to Zara when you are at Yorkdale next - they offer design lines to satisfy the inner fashionista and sartorialist instincts indeed!

behind the glass - toronto design offsite
Behind the Glass - presented by figure3 and Haworth, is part of the Toronto Design Offsite Festival 2015. I had the honour and pleasure to be part of the design team for the ideation and installation of this fun project. Come see it this week if you are in Toronto.
Psychic spy - our window seat installation where random thoughts are generated when you sit down in them. Kudos go to Blair Kelly who is the technical whiz that provided hardware and programming solution to make this such a fun interactive installation!
looking back at 2014
Happy new year! As a look back at the past year, here is a sampling of what I was up to. I photographed several award winning projects and was published in Interior Design and Canadian Interiors among others. I participated in the contact photography festival featuring fine art series Nocturnal Stills and exhibited fine art photography throughout the year at a showroom. The best way to keep updated is through this blog: stevie rave on. Perhaps you would consider subscribing to the posts through email notification. See the button on the right to do so. My hope is to bring a smile to your face with my photographs and imagery.
All the best to you and may 2015 bring you success and joy!

BMO neighbourhood branches
BMO Financial Group has been updating neighbourhood branches to feature unified design and messaging that communicate their identity and positioning of personal, friendly banking with clarity.
As you can see, the impressive new branches transform the customer interaction with a financial institution into a friendly and approachable experience. As a BMO customer myself, I am kind of proud to be one :)
