#Toronto Style Digital Interactive Sculpture
Were any of you fashion hounds stopped in the tracks by this beacon of #TorontoStyle in the Eaton Centre?
Cadillac Fairview launched a marketing campaign at CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Designed by the global design collective, Traffik, the main feature of the campaign is an interactive digital display sculpture with an integrated camera that customers can use to take photos of themselves. Their image then appears on a digital screen and can be shared on social media. This exciting and attractive interactive sculpture is engineered, fabricated, and installed by Eventscape.
Everyone who walked by the sculpture were drawn to it and eager to leave a mark - taking part in Toronto Style collective!
Interface Toronto Showroom
Interface, carpet manufacturer and the leader in sustainability, has moved the Toronto Showroom into the QRC West, and is the first application for LEED V.4 project in Canada - green to the core as they are embracing the Mission Zero goal. The showroom design is part of the global look + feel where the use of materials is meant to be a backdrop to the floor which is the focus. The large spaces on the floor is not only for showcasing products but also to be used by clients and furniture vendors for mock-up and to view products in large scale. The showroom also functions as a flexible meeting and events space for the Architects +Designers community.
Being in a LEED Gold building, all the advanced environmental features are present - LED lighting with occupant sensors, raised floor with HVAC distribution, full height perimeter glazing with lightshelf to maximize daylight, and operable windows for fresh air. The building is also one of the most interesting architectural projects and innovative office tower in downtown Toronto. Go for a visit at the showroom and you will sure love the environment, design, and architecture - what a treat!

behind the glass - toronto design offsite
Behind the Glass - presented by figure3 and Haworth, is part of the Toronto Design Offsite Festival 2015. I had the honour and pleasure to be part of the design team for the ideation and installation of this fun project. Come see it this week if you are in Toronto. Psychic spy - our window seat installation where random thoughts are generated when you sit down in them. Kudos go to Blair Kelly who is the technical whiz that provided hardware and programming solution to make this such a fun interactive installation!
BMO neighbourhood branches
BMO Financial Group has been updating neighbourhood branches to feature unified design and messaging that communicate their identity and positioning of personal, friendly banking with clarity. As you can see, the impressive new branches transform the customer interaction with a financial institution into a friendly and approachable experience. As a BMO customer myself, I am kind of proud to be one :)
TELUS G2 - award winning retail store design
TELUS retail store designed in collaboration with figure3 is a fresh concept that brings the experience to the forefront of the retail environment. The first G2 store in Carrefour Laval has won major retail awards such as the Grand prize in A.R.E.design award, digital on display A.R.E.in-store communications and store of the year in Chain Store Age. Having been involved heavily as part of the design team throughout the project means I am sort of in front and behind the camera at the same time for this shoot!
